Change Mental Health (Dumfries & Galloway)

Our resource centres provide safe, welcoming spaces for people to connect, build confidence and improve wellbeing through group work, activities and community engagement.

Employability Support Project
Support for adults and young people through a combination of one-to-one and group activities to provide opportunities for personal development.

Carer Support
We provide emotional and practical support, both individually and through peer support groups, for those caring for someone with mental illness. We also connect carers to relevant services and collaborate with local communities to create more opportunities.

Distress Brief Intervention
A 365-day service for individuals experiencing mental distress, aiming to alleviate pressure on frontline staff. Referrals are accepted from frontline services, including GPs, A&E, Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service.

Outreach Support
Our resource centres are hubs for outreach support to people across the region in their own environment and often hard-to-reach rural areas, to enable them to integrate back into their community.

Justice Social Work Outreach
We support people with low-level mental health issues who are serving a Community Payback Order. Our outreach workers help individuals improve their mental wellbeing so they can complete their order and avoid a custodial sentence.
